Disclaimer — the freshness utility is informational
The tea freshness checker provides editorial guidance based on commonly accepted ranges in specialty tea literature. It is not professional advice, a food safety determination, or a guarantee of any kind. The tool tells you where a tea sits in its expected lifecycle for flavor character — not whether the tea is safe to drink.
Properly-stored tea remains safe to drink long after it has lost its optimal flavor character. Conversely, tea that's been improperly stored (visible mold, off odors, infestation) should be discarded regardless of what any freshness tool says. Use your own judgment for food safety. Consult appropriate professionals when in doubt.

Brand names, vendor names, product names, and trademarks appearing on this site are the property of their respective owners. Editorial reference does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership with the named brand or vendor unless explicitly stated.
Tea brand profiles describe what the brand publicly represents about itself, what specialty tea community sources have written about it, and our own editorial assessment.
